2010 Operation “Shock and Awe”
Posted by: | Comments2010 Operation “Shock and Awe” is building steam. The upcoming 2010 race season promises to be another great season of mountain bike racing with several familiar races such as the flat and fast and ever so fan friendly Warda race, the muscle burning twists and turns of Flat Rock Ranch in Comfort, Tx, the widely popular trails of Rocky Hill Ranch in Smithville (welcome back old friend), and the miles of mudd slop fest that was so much fun in Cold Spring, Tx. “Wayne, how the hell are you?! You old muther scratcher!” I am excited to have a couple new races in the Dallas/FT. Worth area, a local race in the Austin/Lake Travis area by Bicycle Sport Shop, and who doesnt like the opportunity to ride Lance Armstrongs home course in the Mellow Johnny’s Classic , Part Deux bitches!! Sean, Rob, can I get an AMEN?
X-Bar Shootout, 2009- Part Deux
Posted by: | Comments…so i’m tryin to get my hot tub running to ease my aching back after a rough OMW style training w/e…(several well paced miles outnumbered by several more tall dogs…and repeat as necessary). but what does this have to do w/ the much awaited (and delayed) conclusion to X-Bar? is this just more procrastination, you ask? patience young skywalker…patience…
so, anyway, where was i? hot tub’s broke, back feels broke…oh yeah… when lo and behold, “Black Betty” comes on over the airwaves. (one of OMW’s premier pre-race anthems. it’s a real foot stomper!) i hear the guitar licks and can’t help but get ALL KINDS OF GEEKED UP! just the right motivation to FINALLY tie up the loose ends of the X-Bar Shootout happenin’s….
